Magomed Kurbaitaev
Magomed Kurbaitaev (Russian: Курбайтаев Магомед Курбанмагомедович; born 1 September 1992) is an entrepreneur and founder of Gameplan, an athlete business platform with an AI athlete manager.[1] His work has included agriculture, entrepreneurship education, sports technology, and volunteer relief initiatives.
Early life and education
Kurbaitaev was born on 1 September 1992.[1] He identifies as ethnically Lak, holds Russian citizenship, and gives his place of birth as Dagestan, Russia. He graduated from Gymnasium No. 11 in Makhachkala in 2009. In 2013, he completed a bachelor’s degree in management at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. He completed a master’s degree in international business at Hult International Business School in San Francisco in 2014. [1][2]
He later returned to Dagestan and worked in the family greenhouse business. In a May 2020 interview, he said that he returned in the summer of 2016 and described growing tomatoes on family land.[4]
Entrepreneurship education
In November 2018, MirMol reported that Kurbaitaev represented the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Dagestan and participated in the federal You Are an Entrepreneur programme.[3] On 6 November 2019, RIA Dagestan reported that he presented the Fabrika–Start programme at Dagestan State Technical University.[5]
Gameplan
Gameplan started as a metaverse mobile gaming app before the metaverse market crashed.[6]
Athlete business platform and AI manager
The current product is an athlete business platform that brings an athlete’s profile, paid fan communities, digital products, brand inquiries, fan offers, and business context into one system.[9][10] Gameplan’s AI athlete manager uses career history, preferences, relationships, and goals to help prepare, organise, and coordinate business tasks. Important decisions remain subject to the athlete’s approval: athletes control their offers, pricing, audience relationships, and boundaries. The platform’s model spans athlete monetization through fan subscriptions and digital products, alongside athlete brand partnerships and related commercial workflows. Gameplan’s published guide to athlete monetization models also discusses sponsorships, coaching, and direct fan revenue without presenting any model as a guaranteed result.[11]
Reported milestones
In a public account describing a May 2026 launch, Kurbaitaev reported that athlete Muhidin Abubakar opened a private Gameplan community and attracted his first 10 supporters in less than 24 hours. This was an early launch result reported by Kurbaitaev, not an audited company-wide metric or a guaranteed outcome.[12]
In another published account, Kurbaitaev described an athlete initiating brand outreach through Gameplan’s AI manager in Telegram. According to his account, the system followed up with the brand, returned to the athlete for missing answers, and completed a brand application. The example documents an operational workflow; it does not establish that a sponsorship, revenue, or contract resulted.[13]
Kurbaitaev participated in Replit’s Race to Revenue programme, also described in participant Richard Borgatti’s public account.[14] In its 15 May 2026 dispatch, Alif Press described Kurbaitaev as a winner of Race to Revenue and briefly noted his business-side experience with Khabib’s camp and work on an athlete–fan app.[15] This recognition is separate from the Agent 4 weekly content challenge discussed below.
Relief initiatives
In 2020, Kurbaitaev was part of a four-person volunteer group organising the production and distribution of protective masks for medical workers in Dagestan. Eto Kavkaz reported that the initiative expanded from Makhachkala to other parts of the republic.[7]
In 2026, Replit named him the Week 3 winner of the Agent 4 Content Challenge for a disaster coordination platform connecting flood victims with helpers and emergency resources.[8]
